Workshop PIDs for physical objects

The DFG-funded project PID Network Germany is organising a workshop in which various areas of application of PIDs for physical objects such as samples or artefacts will be introduced through informative presentations. Various experiences will be discussed in terms of their challenges and possible solutions.

This workshop will feature informative presentations followed by an interactive, in-person discussion.
For those who are unable to attend in person, we are happy to provide online access to the presentations.

Workshop on PIDs for Physical Objects – Documentation Now Available

On February 20, 2025, the project PID Network Deutschland organized a successful hybrid workshop at GFZ Helmholtz-Zentrum für Geoforschung, bringing together researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders to discuss the future of persistent identifiers (PIDs) for physical objects like samples and artefacts.:seedling: :volcano: :globe_showing_asia_australia: :petri_dish: :test_tube:
