Hi all, connecting from the Bank of Canada Library where we are getting into the PID game. I’d appreciate some advice on the value of adding DOIs retrospectively to our publications. We have a plan for day forward, but doing the retrospective work is rather onerous and I’m wondering what others have done. Grateful for any guidance - thanks, Jennifer
Hello Jennifer and greetings from the University of British Columbia. We have done retrospective DOI minting back in 2016 for more than 200,000 of our digital assets, including various file formats and types. We had to write a piece of software to do that and you could potentially use it if relevant. Feel free to reach out to me to discuss further.
