Hi,
I’ve been asked, by colleagues, for advice about minting PIDs for born digital and digitised content in our Digital Library. From the reading I’ve done so far I was thinking that DataCite DOIs would be our best option (we’re already using DataCite for other content), but I understand that publisher and publication year are not present in the ISAD(G) schema used with our born digital material, so we need to investigate a bit further. In the meantime, it would be really helpful to know what others are doing in terms of PIDs for digitised content, and what level of granularity you work to with digital collections.
If anyone’s happy to share what they’re doing with digitised and born digital content I’d be really grateful.
Many thanks,
Helen
