The PIDfest Steering Committee seeks Expressions of Interest (EoI) from candidate organisations from all geographic areas to organise the 2026 PIDfest Conference. The due date for EoI is 7 October 2024.
The first PIDfest conference in Prague (June 2024) was very successful with a great program with onsite tickets selling out within a couple of weeks of opening registration. PIDfest drew 175 onsite registrations and another 100 online, however the demand for onsite registrations was far higher than the venue capacity. Therefore candidate institutions must have the ability to organise and host a multi-day conference with up to 250 in-person attendees and the ability to stream at least the main plenary sessions. This includes appropriate access to conference facilities, lodging, and transportation, as well as the ability to manage a range of supporting services (food services, internet services, and conference social events; management of registration and online payments; etc.). The candidate institutions and their local arrangements committee must have the means to support the costs of producing the conference through attendee registration and sponsorship fundraising.
More information on the call for organising and hosting PIDfest 2026 can be found on the website at pidfest.org
We look forward to receiving your Expression of Interest!
Best regards,
Natasha (on behalf of the PIDfest Steering Committee)
