DataCite Harvesters Interest Group Meeting

Join the second DataCite Harvesters Interest Group meeting of 2026. The group provides a space for community members who harvest, analyze, or reuse DataCite metadata – or who are simply interested in the topic. The DataCite team will share updates and new features, explore enriched metadata for harvesters, and facilitate discussion and exchange with the community.

Join us for the third DataCite Open Hours of 2026! During this session, we will explore how registering DOIs for software helps ensure that it remains discoverable, citable, and accessible over time. We will hear from DataCite members about their experience with software DOIs. Whether you are already registering DOIs for research software or are interested in getting started, we invite you to join the discussion.

PIDfest 2026: Programme now available
27–29 October 2026, Leiden, the Netherlands (in person and selected sessions online)
The programme for PIDfest 2026 is now published, featuring around 100 sessions focused on the themes Strengthen Community, Address Challenges, and Demonstrate Value. Alongside keynote plenaries from Felienne Hermans, Cameron Neylon, and Suze Kundu, the programme includes panels, presentations, workshops, birds-of-a-feather sessions, lightning talks, and posters from PID experts and enthusiasts around the world. The three keynotes, lightning talks, and a selection of other sessions will be live-streamed free of charge.
