Introducing a new PID Forum category!

Welcome to the PID IG Category!

The PID IG is an Interest Group of the Research Data Alliance that is focused on Persistent Identifiers. It’s purpose is to synchronise identifier-related efforts across RDA, address important and emerging PID-related topics and coordinate activities to solve PID-related issues that bubble up from the data community.

The RDA hold so-called Plenary meetings twice a year and for many years the PID IG has organised sessions at these Plenaries which are well attended and cover a wide range of topics.

The idea behind this category is for it to be a place for discussions before, during and after the Plenary sessions, as well as broaden the reach of our Interest Group. We would like to provide those of you not directly involved in the RDA a chance to engage in the topics. With this in mind, the plan is to post the agendas of our sessions here with links to the collaborative notes and presentations. I will also cross-post occasionally from our RDA list.

The PID IG has three co-chairs: Adrian Burton, Laurel Haak and myself Jonathan Clark.

Please let us know what you think of this initiative!
