We’re looking at how to represent translations and translators in the DataCite Metadata Schema.
Two additions are under consideration:
- New relationType pair: IsTranslationOf / HasTranslation
- New contributorType: Translator
The lack of a precise relationType for translations has been previously discussed on the PID Forum: DOIs for articles published in two languages/ translations
