Is some (authoritative, Linked Open Data) registry of Persistent Identifier systems available somewhere?
In the Netherlands, we’re preparing a new metadata standard for government information. We want to include, if available, the Persistent Identifier for records/documents.
As one can’t always see from the outside what type of Persistent Identifier was used, we may want to include both the Persistent Identifyer and it’s type (e.g. “handle” or “orcid”).
Rather than creating and maintaining a registry or vocabulary ourselves, we’d like to use (link to) something that is already out there. But is one available?
Please note that I’m not looking for reports like FREYA deliverable 3.1 that list available Persistent Identifier systems.
